Lorenzo Lotto (1480–1556) was a painter of the High Renaissance, born in Venice. He worked in Ancona, Bergamo and Rome. He trained under Giovanni Bellini. He died in Loreto in 1556. Among his documented works are Allegory of Virtue and Vice, Portrait of a gentleman in his studio and Susanna and the Elders.
