Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510) was a painter of the Early Renaissance, born in Florence. He worked in Pisa and Rome. He trained under Filippo Lippi and Andrea del Verrocchio. Among his documented works are The Birth of Venus, Adoration of the Magi and Primavera.
