Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528) was a painter of the German Renaissance, born in Nuremberg. He worked in Venice and Basel. He trained under Albrecht Dürer the Elder and Michael Wolgemut. Among his documented works are Melencolia I, Adoration of the Magi and Self-Portrait with Fur-Trimmed Robe.
