Pontormo

Pontormo (1494–1556) was a painter of the Mannerism, born in Empoli. He worked in Florence. He trained under Piero di Cosimo and Andrea del Sarto. He died in Florence in 1556. Among his documented works are Visitation of Carmignano, Vertumnus and Pomona and Pucci Altarpiece.
