Max Liebermann (1847–1935) was a painter of the Impressionism, born in Berlin. He worked in Düsseldorf and Munich. He trained under Paul Thumann and Carl Steffeck. Among his documented works are Two Riders on the Beach, Two Riders on the Beach to the left and Portrait of the Painter Lovis Corinth.
