Hans Memling (1435–1494) was a painter of the Early Netherlandish painting, born in Seligenstadt. He worked in Cologne, Brussels and Bruges. He trained under Rogier van der Weyden. He died in Bruges in 1494. Among his documented works are St John Altarpiece, Advent and Triumph of Christ and The Last Judgment.
