François-Joseph Navez (1787–1869) was a painter, born in United Kingdom of the Netherlands. He worked in Brussels and Paris. He trained under Pierre Joseph Célestin François and Jacques-Louis David. He died in Brussels in 1869. Among his documented works are Elisha resurrecting the Son of the Shunamite Woman, The First Meeting of Isaac and Rebecca and Portrait of Léonard Pierre Joseph, Viscount du Bus de Gisignies, Commissioner-General.
