Cimabue (1240–1302) was a painter of the Trecento, born in Florence. He died in Pisa in 1302. Among his documented works are Madonna and Child Enthroned with Angels and Prophets. ˋSanta Trinità Maestà´, Maestà di Santa Maria dei Servi and Saint Francis.
