Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg (1783–1853) was a painter of the Danish Golden Age, born in Blåkrog. He worked in Copenhagen and Paris. He trained under Nicolai Abildgaard and Jacques-Louis David. He died in Copenhagen in 1853. Among his documented works are A View through Three of the North-Western Arches of the Third Storey of the Coliseum, At a Window in the Artist's Studio and Bella and Hanna. The Eldest Daughters of M. L. Nathanson.
